Before using Telebank please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.
The Credit Union’s general Terms and Conditions and Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) should be read in conjunction with these Terms and Conditions as they apply. If you do not understand any part of the Terms and Conditions please contact one of our staff members. Always retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for future reference.
WHAT IS TELEBANK?
Telebank is our 24 hour seven day a week telephone inquiry service available to all members anywhere in Australia.. For the cost of a local call (higher from mobiles) you can obtain certain information and process certain transactions from your account. No Credit Union Fees or Charges apply to this service.
APPLYING FOR AN ACCESS CODE.
Contact your local Karpaty Credit Union Branch and one of our staff members will allocate you with your initial access code.
When you use Telebank for the first time you will be required to enter the initial access code then you will be immediately prompted to change the code to ensure your privacy. Your new personal access code should be numeric between 4 - 8 digits chosen by yourself. For your security you must not select a code that represents your date of birth, simple numeric sequences, repeated digits or the same number as your PIN.
Access to fund transfer options are generally not available to those accounts where multiple ( two or more) signatures are required to transact on the account. However, in certain circumstances and with the consent of all the signatories to that membership, we may agree to such access.

SECURITY
We recommend you try to memorise your access code for your own protection.
You must not tell or show anyone your access code or record your access code with other personal or financial information.
Be sure no one can see you entering your access code into the phone. This should also include phoning Telebank from Hotels and Motels where automated monitoring/ billing systems may be in place. These PABX systems record the details of outbound phone calls including all the digits that are dialled by a user during a call.
You must notify us as soon as possible if you become aware or suspect unauthorised use of your access code. You may be liable for any losses that occur as a result of unauthorised use of the password before notification is provided to the Credit Union that the password has been misused or become known to someone else.
TRANSFER LIMITS AND RESTRICTIONS
The Credit Union may specify limits on the amounts that can be transferred and the types of accounts that can be accessed from and to using Telebank.
For payment requests and transfers to be made, the nominated savings account must have sufficient clear and available funds at the time the request is made.
TERMINATION
The Credit Union may cancel the use of the Telebank service at any time without notice if we believe the service is being misused in a manner that would cause loss to you or the Credit Union.
CHANGES
We can change these Terms and Conditions and any Fee and Charges associated with the use of Telebank. If we change or add new Fees and Charges we will notify you 30 days prior to their introduction or change.
GENERAL
You indicate acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by using the Telebank Service.
The Credit Union is not responsible for any loss caused if a transaction cannot be processed because the system or equipment fails.
Information obtained by you via Telebank about your account relates to transactions that we have processed and verified. Your Telebank transactions will be processed in the normal course of business.
The services that are available via Telebank will be determined by us from time to time.
